The Costa Del Sol Photographic Society was originally formed in 2002 and was the first English speaking photo club in Spain and is registered in Andalusia as a non profit making association.
The Society is structured to cater for photographers at all levels. Its membership is comprised of those at a professional level to people who are new to photography and join as complete beginners. New members are always welcome.
Meetings take place on a regular basis at our venue in Benalmadena which is situated in the Malaga area. Many topics of interest are included and are often presented by guest speakers. In addition, we provide a platform for members to exhibit their own work by way of monthly competitions.
The Society arranges regular photo shoots providing practical experience for all. Less experienced members always have the opportunity to be paired with our seasoned photographers. Some shoots can often occupy a full day so partners and friends are always welcome to come along - an ideal way to discover Spain.
Various workshops are run for members who are new to photography or at an intermediate level. Topics include all fundamental techniques such as composition, camera settings, depth of field, the use of shutter and aperture priority plus much more. In addition, full tuition is provided for editing programs such as Lightroom and Photoshop. Our advanced members are always able to provide one to one tuition when required.
Full membership of the Society is €12 per year. This gives entitlement to enter all competitions and exhibitions. An additional €3 is charged per Home Meeting attended. This arrangement is favourable for members who are unable to attend all the meetings.
